What is the difference between stone wool and EPS-XPS boards?

Stone wool is a mineral-based insulation material preferred where fire behaviour and sound insulation matter. EPS and XPS are lightweight foam boards used especially for ETICS, floors and foundations. The choice depends on the application, building regulations and project requirements.

Where are waterproofing membranes used?

Waterproofing membranes protect the building in areas in contact with water or at risk of moisture, such as roofs, terraces, balconies, wet rooms, foundations and retaining walls. The membrane type depends on the surface and the detail.

How is insulation achieved at frame and façade junctions?

At junctions between frames and walls or façades, insulation tapes, polyurethane adhesives and sealants provide air and water tightness. These details reduce thermal bridges and keep the insulation continuous.
